Here are tipz on how to ease sore, tight  muscles from  strenuous activities:

To avoid getting sore muscles, remember to warm-up and stretch and do not overdo your exercising.

Make an ice pack and apply on the sore muscles for twenty minutes. Repeat this every hour until the pain is relieved.

If you have continual episodes of pain (chronic pain), use a warm compress or a heating pad instead. You can also try soaking in a hot bath at the end of the day.

Stretch the sore area gently to loosen up damaged muscles. If you have a partner, you can ask him or her to gently massage the sore area. You can also walk once a day to increase blood circulation throughout your body. This way, oxygen will be available to your muscles, making them less prone to cramping. Don’t forget to hydrate by drinking lots of water everyday too.

And while you are in pain, better not aggravate it. Take it easy for a few days or until the pain goes away.
