How to Remove Crayon Stains From Clothes

February 16, 2010 | In: Cleaning, Featured, General, Home

Moms would have come across this problem at one point or another, especially when their kids discover the wonders of crayons and how they work perfectly well with their clothes.

The most effective way of getting rid of crayon stains is to place the stained area in between two absorbent fabrics such as terrycloth, with the stain facing down.

Get a flat iron and put it on medium heat without steam. Iron the stained area over the terrycloth so that when the wax melts, it will transfer to the cloth.

Repeat if necessarily.

You can clean any residue by gently dabbing the stain with a clean cloth with dry-cleaning solvent which you can purchase in the supermarket.

Once done, you can now wash as usual.

Just remember not to let the wax get in direct contact with any heat source, hence the use of absorbent cloth.
