Saving Money for Kids

Kids, do you want to save enough money for that cool console you’ve been eying since forever? Or perhaps that dress that you’ve been dying to buy for weeks now? Well better read up.

First things first, do not expect things to be easy. Like many things you want in life, you’d better prepare to work hard for them. Besides, everything that you acquire with hard work always seem to be much worth it.

Earn your allowance. Speak with your parents and ask if you can do something for them on a regular basis that will enable you to get extra money. For example, you can babysit your younger siblings for a few dollars a week. You can even extend your services to your mom’s friends so you can make more.

You can also join the recycling biz. Collect bottles and cans not only from your own home. Every time you see a stray recyclable material, you can add it to your collection until you have enough to bring to recycling centers.

If you’re an entrepreneur in the making, why not profit from your hobbies and skills. Sell cookies or pastries, if you are into baking. Make cute fashionable bead necklaces and sell them to your girl friends. If you have a bike, perhaps you can even run a paper route.
