Buying Lingerie

Ladies, are you a little confused on deciding which kind of lingerie to buy? Here are some tipz on shopping for unmentionables:

Never shop online until you know your exact sizes. Try out the local stores first. Most underwear and lingerie boutiques and departments have experienced sales people who can help you find the underwear with the right style and fit.

Just so you won’t have to buy over and over again, (unless you’re the type who buys them like other women buy shoes), read the care directions on the label or the tag.

Although cotton is comfortable and breathable, you may also want to experiment with other fabrics. Just keep in mind that satin clings to the skin. So if you want to emphasize your assets, this is the best fabric for a night of seduction. Chiffon has a soft texture and less expensive than silk georgette, which also has the same feel. For those who are a little conscious of their body shape, you may try crushed velvet or chenille. Another fun peek-a-boo fabric, which men love, is lace.

If you have amazing legs but not so happy about your midsection, try camisole tops and baby doll night gowns. For bottoms, you can wear V-front panties. A garter belt is optional, but will definitely add sex appeal.

If you dislike leg bands digging into hips, you can opt for french cut panties. Short hipsters and boy shorts offer smooth outline, though the latter tend to roll up on the thighs if not fitted well. For more comfort, choose underwear with covered waistbands and no tags. Thongs are an acquired taste. Buy one and see if you feel comfortable wearing them. Avoid wearing bikini panties under slacks and pencil skirts because they create a visible panty line. They are great under low rise jeans though.
