Are you on a diet? It can be quite a difficult time to stay on it especially with temptation everywhere. Here are some tips on how to help you stay on track:

Eat slowly. Take time and savor the taste of your meal. Chew well before you swallow. This will leave you fuller and more satisfied than when you hurry yourself eating. Also, your brain takes time to get the signal from your tummy that it is full. So you avoid overeating by eating slowly.

Don’t be too hard on yourself and allow for a once-a-week binge. The more you deny yourself, the more difficult it would be to control your cravings.

If you can’t avoid eating in a fastfood place, order the kiddie meal instead. This way you’ll only get a smaller portion of high calorie food.

When you’re eating at home, use smaller dishes. Instead of using a dinner plate where you can easily heap it with food, use a smaller salad plate. So even if you eat everything on your plate, it will be okay.

Drink water before meals or a cup of green tea at least thirty minutes before meal time. It will help knock the esdge off your appetite and it will be easier to control yourself from eating too much during the actual meal itself.

Eat at regular intervals and don’t skip meals. When you skip meals and do get hungry, you’ll tend to eat more. Healthy snacks such as fruits, vegetable sticks, and nuts can be eaten in between meals to help alleviate hunger.
