They cats are more difficult to train. True but they did say difficult, not impossible. Here are some tips on how to make your cats stop from chewing:
You may purchase “Cat Grass” seeds from garden centers if your cat loves to feast on plants. They will just chew in this plant leaving others alone.
Unfortunately, there is no way to stop cats from chewing electric cords, but you can invest in electrical cord protectors instead. They can be bought in electronic stores. Some of these products are “Chew Safe” and “Critter Cord.”
You may try to buy scat mats which are mats that deliver a small shock as soon as the cat steps on them. This will tell your cat that that particular area is off limits.
Bitter apple is a product that dogs and cats hate. You can purchase a bottle of this and apply on the things that your pets love chewing. Once they get a lick of it, they’ll stop.
Sometimes, cats chew because they are bored. Provide them with entertainment. Safe cat toys are available in pet stores.
If your cats still chew for no reason, then have them checked by a vet. They might have a condition called “Pica” which is caused by a nutritional deficiency.
