Taking Care of Clothes
Here are more tipz on how to take better care of our clothes, making sure you get the best out of them for a longer period of time.
Always sort out clothes when washing. Most of the damage to clothes often happen during washing. Check the labels and follow the washing instructions. Don’t forget to flip clothes so that color won’t fade as fast. For more sensitive articles of clothing, hand wash.
Do not crowd your closet. Place a piece of chalk in the closet so it absorbs the moisture there. Air your closets one a month to avoid mold growth. Invest in quality padded hangers and avoid metal ones, which rust given time.
Remove lint from clothes before ironing. You can also apply starch spray for a bit of stiffness. Again, check labels for the correct heat setting, or if they can even be touched by an iron.
Repair tears. Don’t wait until they get bigger. Check zippers if they run easily. Rub a candle over the zip if they don’t. Check buttons and secure loose ones. Do this before washing so they won’t dislodge themselves while in the wash.
