Caring for Tires

Save a bit of money on autocare by trying to make the most of your tires before having them replaced. Here are some tipz on how to do exactly that:

Always check the air pressure of your tires. Make sure that they are just right. Over-inflated tires can easily wear out the center of your tires and under-inflated tires can easily wear out the outside edges.

Have your tires rotated every 7500 miles. This will guarantee that the wearing of the tires remain even. This increases the life of your car’s tires.

Make sure that suspension parts are working properly. How do you know if they are? Check your front tires. If they are worn on one side, then it means you have steering problem. Have this seen to by your mechanic.

Replace worn shock absorbers. Bad shock absorbers can eat your tires fast. Push the fender of your car to get it bouncing. Stop. The car should stop bouncing on the 3rd cycle. If it continues to bob up and down, then you need to have your shock absorbers replaced.
