Taking Good Care of Teeth
Hate going to the dentist? Then try to take better care of your teeth then. Here are some tipz on how to keep those pearly-whites sparkling and clean:
Brushing
Brushing helps in removing plaque from the surface of the teeth. Dentists recommend to brush twice, daily, devoting about three to five minutes to the task.
Don’t forget to use floss or inter-dental cleaner to get to those hard-to-reach spaces between your teeth. You can also use tongue cleaners and a mouthwash after to help get rid of bacteria left even after brushing.
Visit your dentist regularly or every six months for check-ups and professional cleaning.
Diet
If you can avoid drinks, such as soft drinks and coffee, that can stain and erode your teeth, then all the better. But if you can’t, use a drinking straw.
Always drink a glass of water after eating desserts and sweets. This will wash away most of the sugar. The rest you can remove when you brush your teeth.
Instead of snacking on chocolate, why not bite unto an apple instead? It is not only healthy for your body but for your teeth as well.
