There is no required age for developing in your children a love for learning. If you wish them to grow up inquisitive and rearing to learn new skills, then read on:
Always set a good example. The best way to teach anything is to teach by example. If your children see you reading, or learning new stuff, then chances are your kids will follow after you.
Make learning a family thing. Include this as par of your family activities. Camping, nature hikes, trips to museums and historical sites, are some educational ways to spend your time as a family.
Take an interest in your kids’ school work. Even if they find the subjects boring in school, make it fun for them at home.
Encourage discussions among family members. It is always good to hear different perspectives over a topic. This will also broaden your children’s perspectives and it will teach them that people have their own opinions, and not because they’re different from yours, doesn’t mean, they’re wrong.
