Traveling can be troublesome, especially if one has kids in tow, especially if they are curious and fussy toddlers.
First of all, plan your travel. Find out how you are suppose to travel. Is it by car, or ship, or plane? Remember that toddlers have short attention span so it is best to choose the means with the shortest travel time.
Try to keep your child’s routine the same. For example, try to stick to the time your kids has his bedtime, meals, and other activities. If you’re traveling by car, you can always stop somewhere so your kids can eat. You can ask flight attendants to serve your child’s meal at a particular time.
Bring your child’s favorite books, blanket or stuffed animal as well, even if it’s just one of each.
Prioritize your child’s safety. Bring child-proof items and a first-aid kit. Bring also your child’s medication. These will make sure that you can easily attend to your child’s medical needs, especially during emergencies and you are far away from home.
