How to Unsubsribe to Electronic Newsletters

January 28, 2010 | In: Internet

Sometimes, we find ourselves signing up for mailing lists and newsletters from websites. When we find no more use for them, how do we prevent them from clogging our inboxes?

Simply open your inbox. It doesn’t matter what e-mail client you use.

Open any version of the newsletter that you wish to remove.

Scroll to the bottom of the newsletter where you will usually find Terms of Agreement or other legal notices.

Look for “Unsubscribe” button or link and click on it. If there isn’t one, look for instructions on how to unsubscribe. All public e-mail notices are required by law to have this option.

You’ll get a notice via e-mail or you will be directed to a site that states that you have now been unsubscribed.

Simply delete on any newsletter to which you did not subscribe. Clicking on links can be dangerous as these may just be hoax links which would just solicit information from your computer.
