Letter of Resignation
There are only three keywords to keep in mind when writing a letter of resignation – short, simple, and straight-to-the-point.
One example could be:
Dear[insert name]
Please accept this as my formal letter of resignation from my position of [job title].
I would like to thank you for the opportunities that this employment has given me.
Sincerely yours,
[Your Name]
Keep the content short and don’t provide reasons. Your supervisor or the HR department will ask you if they want to know.
Be formal, polite, and professional. If you have ire against the company, vent it out by writing it on a separate piece of paper then tear it or burn it afterward. It’s good therapy without putting yourself in a bad light.
Print the letter on paper. Check for spelling, grammar, and typographical errors. Sign with a pen and keep the letter neat. This is a sign of (last) respect to your boss and the company.
