One of the big mistakes that domain owners and where they potentially lose a ton of traffic is by not checking their site structure. Bad links, paths and 404 pages will upset your visitors, cost you sales and can upset the Search Engine Bots affecting your rank.

• Go through your site and click all the links to make sure they are working properly.
• Download a program such as Xenu Link Sleuth, a great program for finding dead links.
• Make sure you setup a 404 Page in your hosting account. See error pages in Cpanel.
• Check your Stats Programs for a 404 Report, and clean up the dead links.

A few simple steps to make sure your site is working properly can make all the difference in the world.
