Are you emailing to safelists, running ads in traffic exchanges or newsletters?
Do you realize that 90+% people are running ads that look virtually the same to surfers, readers and list subscribers.
Is this you?
“Join me in this great program, best plan in industry. Leaders are coming on board.. CLICK HERE NOW”
Or is this you?
“Visit mylongsitename(dot)com for Internet Marketing Reviews.”
Seriously what percentage of clickthroughs do you think you’re going to get?
Don’t you think it would be more efficient to jolt the reader with a controversial headline? Make them curious
about a Strange fact or perhaps even…
Perhaps even tell the first half of a joke and give the punchline when they click a link.
Once you get the hang of this technique you can apply it to blog post titles, and even articles.
Entice the reader, leave them hanging, but let them know they can get unhung simply by clicking your link.
I’ve tested the Joke model quite a bit and always get a significant increase in clickthroughs.

What Do You Call an Internet Marketer who cheats on their spouse?

If you’re trying to build your list you can’t just throw up a form that says First Name and Your Email and expect people to subscribe.
You need to offer your visitors some incentives.. make it clear what it is they can expect when joining your list and wrap that all up into an appealing form.
I see forms everyday that make me cringe. It’s not rocket science to find out how your optin pages should look. Simply goto any well-known marketer’s site and see what their optin boxes look like.
It doesn’t cost a lot of money to spruce up your Squeeze Page. I just launched a $7 Site with an Opt-in Box Collection while I was writing this post..

Check it out…. And remember these tips..
- Give Incentives for joining your list.
- Always Double Optin your list members
- Let them know their info won’t be sold to 3rd parties
- Don’t hammer them with offers, build a relationship with them.
Here’s an example of a graphic I use to boost my optins.
