Web Design

If you’re an online marketer you should be cloaking your affiliate links so that you don’t suffer from commission theft.

Also, if you’re building backlinks to your site via forums and blog posts you don’t want to use links to other domains, but build up links back to your site.

You should always control all your links which is why many top affiliate use redirects.

A redirect is simply a page on a domain you control, which redirects to another page.

The reason many top affiliates do this is so they always control their links.

If a company goes out of business and you’ve spent hours building up a ton of backinks to their site.. All that effort is wasted if you didn’t use a redirect.

There are quite a few different kinds of redirects but the popular ones are:

  • Meta Refresh
  • Javascript Redirects
  • HTML Redirects
  • PHP Redirects

I’ve created an HTML Redirect Generator which you may find useful.  Just enter your link and reload the page.. and it generates a number of html codes you can use to make an html redirect page.

Check it out at MyRedirectCode.com

I’ve just added some slide up footer code to Tipz.com.

[note, while it's cool, my own conversions weren't that great and I removed it]

It displays ads for other sites of mine and has a cool look to it.

It’s basically simple javascript code that can easily be closed by your visitors by page view or by cookie.  If they close it by cookie it won’t show again until they delete their cookies.

There’s a small IE bug, which I’m still working on, but it still works.. just not identical to Firefox.

I’ve created a zip file with all files necessary to create an ad on your site, and have been adding some mods to it as well to make install a snap.    It’s available to Support Bucks members by clicking Footer Ad
